What stays on your device

Some parts of the site remember things in your own browser’s storage. This information stays with you and is never sent to us:

• what’s in your bag
• whether sound is on or off
• the card you drew today in Las Cartas
• verses you wrote in El Batey while it was resting

You can clear all of it at any time from your browser’s settings. We set no cookies of our own.

El Estudio

When you spray your line on the mural in El Estudio, the image is drawn right there in your browser from the words and the name you typed. It uses no camera, and what you type isn’t sent to us. The image is saved only when you choose to keep or share it, and then only where you put it.

El Batey

When you put a verse up in El Batey, we store:

• your verse
• the name you sign it with
• whether you gave us permission to print it on packaging
• the time you put it up

Verses and the names they’re signed with are shown publicly on the site. To stop abuse, we also keep a scrambled code made from your IP address for about an hour; it can’t be turned back into the address. Write to [email protected]and we’ll take your verse down. A verse that has already been printed stays on the packaging that carries it.

Visits

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles technical information such as your IP address and browser to deliver pages and keep the site safe. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t follow you from site to site.

Orders

When you place an order, we receive your name, email, shipping address, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered. Payment is handled by our payment provider; we never see your full card number. We share your order details only with the partners who make, pack and deliver it, and with the payment provider, so your order reaches you. We keep order records as long as tax and accounting laws require.

Emails

If you write to us, we keep the conversation so we can help you and look back at it if you write again.

What we never do

We never sell or rent your personal information, and the site carries no advertising trackers.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Write to [email protected]; we answer within the time the law of your country allows. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. If you live in California, you have the right to know what we collect and to have it deleted, and we never sell or share it for advertising.

Age

The site is made for adults. You need to be 18 or older to put a verse up in El Batey.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top.
